Discover Australia Greatest Cities

Sydney

Gold Coast

Brisbane

A multi-cultural city of more than four million people, Sydney is a vivid metropolis built around one of the most stunning harbours in the world.

Take a stroll through the busy Circular Quay to absorb the vibrant harbour and continue on to The Rocks where you’ll find plenty of interesting boutique shops to take home the perfect souvenir.

The Rocks is the oldest area of Sydney, once inhabited by the indigenous Gadigal people before the first European settlers claimed the land. You’ll find quaint cafes, restaurants and boutique stores nestled in the heritage preserved sandstone buildings.

The dramatic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House surrounded by the glorious harbour is an iconic image of Sydney and Australia.

You'll no doubt have seen countless images of this stunning city but nothing quite compares to seeing it in real life.

Wander around the foreshore or take a cruise on the water to see these two architectural feats from a whole new angle.

Brisbane

Gold Coast

Brisbane

The city of Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and the third most populated city in Australia. Situated on a bend of the Brisbane River, this city has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers plenty to see and do.

Brisbane inherited its name from the Brisbane River however, it was originally referred to as "Mian-Jin", an indigenous name meaning "Place shaped as a spike".

The innovative and vibrant city precinct sports a trendy café culture, thriving shopping district and a heritage feel with 19th century sandstone buildings dotted throughout the city.

Located on the Southern Bank of the Brisbane River, directly opposite the city, are the South Bank Parklands.

Connected to the city by the Victoria Bridge, the parklands are one of Brisbane's most important cultural precincts and home to several festivals and events. The parklands include mixture of rainforest, grassed areas and plazas as well as the riverfront promenade and the Wheel of Brisbane.

Gold Coast

Gold Coast

Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a vibrant coastal region, located less than an hour’s drive south of Brisbane.

It’s renowned for its year round sunshine, golden beaches and theme parks. It’s the most populated non-capital city in Australia, with the largest cross-state metropolitan area population in Australia covering Tweed Heads, New South Wales and Greater Brisbane in Queensland.

There’s plenty to see and do along the 70 kilometre stretch of stunning coastline. The Gold Coast is a favourite Australian holiday destination, surrounded by sun-drenched beaches, including the world renowned Surfers Paradise.

Surfers Paradise is the only location in Queensland with late night shopping every day of the week and is home to some of Australia’s largest duty free outlets.

Regarded the entertainment capital of Queensland, Surfers Paradise is also home to several bars, clubs and fine dining restaurants.

Cairns

Cairns

Gold Coast

Lush tropical Cairns is the ‘capital’ of the tropical north and has something for everyone.

The Cairns coastal and regional areas have their own unique beauty and draw visitors to Cairns all year round.

Perhaps shop at the Pier or relax in one of the many cafés. It has also the perfect base for exploring both the Great Barrier Reef and delightful Kuranda Region.

Darwin

Cairns

Darwin

Darwin is the northern most capital city of Australia. With a rich history and iconic natural sights such as Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks and Katherine Gorge right on its doorstep.

Darwin is the best place to explore and experience the Top End of Australia. Darwin’s year round warm weather creates a relaxed atmosphere and is perfect for those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle.

Perth

Cairns

Darwin

Located on the banks of the Swan River in southern Western Australia is Perth, a vibrant city with a host of natural wonders right on its door step.

Perth may be Western Australia’s capital and largest city, but it’s also the most isolated city in the world with the nearest city, Adelaide, more than 2500km away (a 28-hour drive!).

Although geographically a lonely city, Perth is lively, the people are friendly and there is plenty to see and do.

Adelaide

Melbourne

Melbourne

The beautiful city of Adelaide despite only being Australia’s fifth largest city offers a cultural, culinary and historical experience for everyone.

Thanks to the vision of Adelaide's founder, Colonel William Light, this planned city is arranged in a grid surrounded by lovely parks known as the Adelaide Parklands.

From Light's Vision Lookout, a tribute to Colonel Light on Montefiore Hill, you can take in sweeping views of the parklands which form a lush green ring around the city centre.

Less than an hour’s drive north-east of Adelaide is the Barossa, a valley formed by the North Para River.

This beautiful scenic region is famed for its European heritage, hectares of picturesque rolling vineyards, gourmet delicacies and not to mention its world-class wine region – a delight for all senses.

Melbourne

Melbourne

Melbourne

Uncover a world of old and new, of art and culture and of food and wine. Melbourne offers all this and more in one cosmopolitan city.

As Australia’s second largest city, Melbourne may not bask in as much of the limelight as the bigger and flashier Sydney. But look a little deeper and you’ll see why many Australians (well, Melburnians at least) believe this city is the best in Australia.

Meander through the city’s hidden alleys and laneways and you’ll find charming cafés and bars, unique galleries and intimate boutiques.

Admire the mix of heritage and contemporary architecture including the bustling Flinders Street Station and the cultural hub of the city, Federation Square.

Canberra

Melbourne

Canberra

Canberra is Australia’s capital city and a unique Australian city with an entirely planned urban landscape.

300 kilometres south west of Sydney, the site was chosen as Australia’s capital in 1908 as a compromise between the two largest Australian cities, Sydney and Melbourne. It’s the nation’s political heart and home to some of Australia’s best historical and cultural institutions.

Unlike most cities which have been developed organically overtime, Canberra’s unique inner-city layout was built from a holistic design.

Throughout the inner-city you’ll notice a pattern of geometric motifs such as circles and hexagons, the work of American architect Walter Burley Griffin who won an international competition to design the city.

Australias Finest Vinyards

Wine Production

Wine production in Australia began as a business in the early 19th century, the first successful vineyard was established in 1825 by Gregory Blaxland, who also became the first to export Australian wine.

Pioneers such as James Busby, who brought vine cuttings from Europe, played a crucial role in this development of wine, in the late 1800s, regions like the Barossa Valley and Hunter Valley had emerged as prominent wine-producing areas.

Best Vinyards - Must See

There is no doubt Australia boasts some of the world's finest vineyards, with several standing out for their exceptional wine tasting experiences.

Penfolds Magill Estate in South Australia is renowned for its Grange, one of Australia's most celebrated wines, and offers immersive tours and tastings that highlight its rich history and premium wines.

Yarra Yering in Victoria's Yarra Valley is famed for its old-vine Shiraz and innovative blends, providing a picturesque setting and intimate tasting sessions.

Leeuwin Estate in Western Australia's Margaret River region is distinguished by its Art Series Chardonnay and scenic vineyard, complemented by an award-winning restaurant and art gallery.

Jacobs Creek in the Barossa Valley offers a comprehensive experience with wine and food pairings, educational tours, and stunning views of the vineyard landscape, these vineyards offer not just superb wines but also enriching experiences that reflect the diversity and quality of Australian wine.
